Paul L. Eckbo, Ph.D.
Chairman and CEO
Paul Eckbo is the founder, chairman and CEO of Global LNG Services. His career includes fundamental analysis and entrepreneurship within the technology, oil, energy and shipping sectors. Dr. Eckbo has held senior positions in academia and business and has been extensively involved in global business ventures with responsibility for business development, strategy and corporate finance.
Dr. Eckbo has a B.A. from the Norwegian School of Economics (Bergen) and a Ph.D. in Management from the Sloan School of Management at MIT.
Eric H. Namtvedt
Executive Vice President
Eric Namtvedt joined Global LNG Services in 2017 as Executive Vice President. He has been managing throughout the global E&P upstream industry for 39 years. Eric’s experience ranges from oil company to investor/entrepreneur and technology provider, to engineering and module fabrication, to diplomatic assignments.
Eric has a background working at ExxonMobil, FloaTEC, Superior Energy, several global EPC contractors, and as a diplomat with the Norwegian Government. In GLS, Eric will be working with the Commercialization of the Liqui-Max™ Solutions, and the selection and relationship with industry partners.
Eric holds a degree from University of Warwick (UK), School of Industrial and Business Studies and is a Council Member of the American Bureau of Shipping.
Tor Christensen, Ph.D.
Director and Chief Technology Officer
Tor Christensen joined Global LNG Services in 2013 as Chief Technology Officer, Partner and Director. Prior to joining GLS, Dr. Christensen held a leading research positions in a major oil company, as co-founder and partner of a process technology company serving the international energy industries, and as an independent process consultant to major oil and shipping companies. Dr. Christensen is the holder of several patents and has more than 20 years of experience in the oil, gas and power industries.
Dr. Christensen holds a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Purdue University and an MSc in Chemical Engineering from NTNU.
Acting Chief Operating Officer
Ingar Bergh has been engaged by Global LNG Services since 2013, serving as principal project manager. Mr. Bergh is the Managing Director of Marsoft International AS in Oslo, part of the Marsoft Group, providing strategic advisory services to corporations and investors within the maritime sector. He has many years of experience as an advisor and project manager to shipping and oil & gas companies. Before joining Marsoft Ingar worked with the DNV GL group as a risk management consultant.
Mr. Bergh holds a B.S. in logistical engineering and an M.S. in supply chain management from Cranfield School of Management.
Senior Finance Manager
Anders Eckbo has been in shipping since 1987 in various positions. Mr. Eckbo has 27 years of experience in the ship and offshore finance sector, from extensive experience funding and treasury work.
He has a MBA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
David C. Landry
President MPEH LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Global LNG Services AS
David Landry has over 40 years of experience with offshore operations in the Gulf of Mexico region. His experience includes operation, maintenance, regulatory compliance, and project development of offshore sulphur, brine, and oil & gas drilling, production, processing, and ship loading facilities. Mr. Landry previously worked for Freeport-McMoRan Energy LLC as Vice President and General Manager of their offshore mining complexes and was a joint founder of the Main Pass Energy Hub™ project, approved in 2007 as a Deepwater Natural Gas Port for the importation and processing of LNG and the storage and distribution of natural gas into the U.S.
Mr. Landry holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a M.S. in Engineering from Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana and is a graduate of the University of Virginia Executive School at Darden. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Louisiana and North Carolina.
Roger J. M. Maduell
Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of MPEH LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Global LNG Services AS
Roger Maduell has 40 years of experience with inland and offshore operations in the U. S. Gulf of Mexico region. His experience includes engineering, construction & start-up, operation, maintenance, regulatory compliance, and project development & management of onshore and offshore facilities, including chemicals, sulphur, brine, oil & gas drilling, production, processing, and ship loading facilities. Mr. Maduell previously worked for Freeport-McMoRan Energy LLC as Drilling, Production and Operations Manager of their offshore mining complexes and was a joint founder of the Main Pass Energy Hub™ project, approved in 2007 as a Deepwater Natural Gas Port for the importation and processing of LNG and the storage and distribution of natural gas into the U.S. Mr. Maduell is a co-inventor on several patents.

Karin Thorburn, Ph.D.
Karin Thorburn is Research Chair Professor of Finance at the Norwegian School of Economics. and Adjunct Full Professor of Finance at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania . Director of the board of Maritime & Merchant Bank ASA and SEB Investment Management AB.
Peter Mellbye has served in leadership positions at Statoil ASA for 30 years; Executive Vice President of Development & Production, International and Executive Vice President, Natural Gas. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Halfwave AS, Qinterra AS and is on the Board of Directors of TechnipFMC, acting as chairman of the Compliance and Governance Committee. Mr. Mellbye has a master's degree from the University of Oslo and a bachelor's degree from the University of Bergen.
Christian Kongsli has been active in the offshore oil and gas sector since the early 1970’s as broker, founder and shareholder of a number of drilling rig companies with Norwegian and international partners. Mr. Kongsli was co-founder and Director of R S Platou Offshore in 1973 and in 1979 he was co-founder and Partner of Bassøe Offshore Partners. As President and CEO of Energy Drilling Inc from 1980, Mr. Kongsli has initiated several new companies, purchasing and participating in more than 30 drilling rigs as well as other offshore vessels, bulk carriers and oil tankers. Mr. Kongsli has served as Board member of several Norwegian and international shipping and offshore companies.
Mr Kongsli has a Commercial Degree from Academie Commerciale, HEC, Paris.
B. Espen Eckbo, Ph.D.
Professor B. Espen Eckbo is the Tuck Centennial Chair Professor in Finance at the Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth College and founding director of Tuck's Lindenauer Center for Corporate Governance, which he founded in 1999. Prior to joining the Tuck School in 1998, he was a professor of finance at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, and he has held visiting professorships at UCLA and MIT.
Professor Eckbo is a recipient of the Batterymarch Fellowship and has received several research awards. In 2011, he received an Honorary Doctorate (Docteur Honoris Causa) at the Norwegian School of Economics. In 2005, he assisted the Norway’s Sovereign Wealth Fund in designing its corporate governance principles and strategy. He is a frequent keynote speaker, and serves as expert witness concerning corporate finance and valuation, including testimony before the U.S. Congress.
Barry B. White
Barry B. White served as the US ambassador to Norway from 2009 to 2013. Prior to his appointment, Ambassador White was the Chairman and Managing Partner (CEO) of Foley Hoag LLP for over 13 years, where he was a senior partner in the firm’s business, corporate, international and government strategies practice areas. He practiced law at Foley Hoag for 40 years. Ambassador White also served as Chair of Lex Mundi, the world’s largest international association of independent law firms, and co-founded the "Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation", to provide pro bono legal advice to social entrepreneurs around the world. Ambassador White chaired the U.S. presidential campaign of US Senator Tsongas and has been active in the campaigns of many US Senators and Congressmen.
Ambassador White holds an A.B., magna cum laude, from Harvard College and a J.D., magna cum laude, from The Harvard Law School where he served as an Editor of The Harvard Law Review.
Arlie G. Sterling, Ph.D.
Marsoft preforms credit risk, market analysis and management services for Global LNG Services. Arlie Sterling is President and co-founder of Marsoft Incorporated. He is responsible for the development and commercialization of Marsoft’s decision support, risk management, and credit rating services. Dr. Sterling advises shipowners, investors and financial institutions regarding the development and execution of effective investment, chartering and risk management strategy.
Dr. Sterling has an S.B. from MIT, an M.S. from Northwestern University, and a Ph.D. in Applied Economics from the Sloan School of Management at MIT.
